SF 103 – Terminating and Defunding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We Oppose This Bill.
Summary: AN ACT relating to the administration of the government; generally prohibiting diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and mandates by state agencies and educational institutions; conditioning the expenditure of appropriated funds as specified; specifying applicability; and providing for an effective date.
Why It Matters: We must be honest with the fact that women and girls, especially women and girls of color, often face barriers that prohibit their hard work from being fully achieved. DEI programs provide an opportunity for girls to reach their full potential, and for all of us to learn about the the variety people and backgrounds that create our communities.
