HB 282 – Property Tax-Acquisition Value

We Oppose This Bill.

Summary: AN ACT relating to ad valorem taxation; establishing a rebuttable presumption in favor of acquisition value for specified real property; clarifying the use, disclosure and confidentiality of sworn statements for specified real property; providing definitions; making conforming amendments; requiring rulemaking; and providing for effective dates.
Why It Matters: Hard working Wyoming women deserve to know that the taxes they pay will continue to support the community services and education they use to learn, grow, and build community. This property tax cuts too far into our Wyoming schools, community colleges, BOCES childcare centers, senior centers and many more local services.
