HB 188 – Two Families-One Nanny

We Support This Bill.

Summary: AN ACT relating to child care facilities; exempting child care facilities with certain specifications from child care facility certification requirements; requiring rulemaking; and providing for an effective date.
Why It Matters: Hardworking families need childcare, but access is especially challenging in rural areas. Small communities have faced sudden closures of their only childcare provider, leaving families scrambling. Increasing the number of children nannies can care for, while maintaining safety, offers families short-term childcare solutions.
