WYOMING WOMEN’S ANTELOPE HUNT
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10th:
2 pm – 4 pm: Foraging Class – Main Tent
For hunters who have successfully completed rifle sight-in and the skills course:
Learn about rocky mountain native plants with Chef Leah, from Heirloom & Native. She’ll cover defining characteristics, habitat/distribution, edible or medicinal use, seasonal availability, and ethics of foraging your own food and medicine.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11th:
9 am – 5 pm: “DIY” Meat Processing – Ranch House Back Lawn
For hunters who were successful on the morning hunt:
Learn the basics of meat processing with our experienced mentors! You’ll have the chance to ask questions of seasoned hunters, chat about recipes, and gain the confidence to take your harvest from the field to the freezer.
Hunters participating in this activity must have a cooler for transporting the meat home! Limited to three hunters at a time. Availability is first come, first served.
10 am – 4 pm: Shooting Sports – Lower Field Behind Rooms
For hunters who were successful on the morning hunt, or taking a break from the field:
Whether you’re a seasoned shooter looking to refine your skills or a newcomer eager to learn the basics, we invite you to join our mentors at the shotgun range. They’ll guide you through essential techniques, from stance and grip to aiming and follow-through. Shooting and safety supplies will be provided.
10 am – 4 pm: Archery – Ranch House Side Lawn
For hunters who were successful on the morning hunt, or taking a break from the field:
Step up your archery game and gain valuable insights from seasoned professionals with Bowhunters of Wyoming. Work one on one with experienced archers while you practice your shot. Shooting and safety supplies will be provided. All experience levels welcome!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12:
Beginning at 9 am: Fly Fishing – Meet on Ranch House Porch
For hunters who were successful on Friday’s hunt:
Join avid anglers Brenda Kohel and Havely Bauersachs as they fly fish the area’s most beautiful waters. Equipment and mentorship provided. All experience levels welcome.
Limited to 10 participants – First come, first serve! Daily licenses can be purchased online the day of.

2 pm: Wild Game Cooking Demonstration – Lawn Near the Meatpole (weather dependent)
For hunters who were successful on Friday’s hunt, or taking a break from the field:
Attend a “field to fork” cooking demonstration with Chef Extraordinaire Vickie Abbott. Come and join the fun while learning how to utilize delicious game meat. There will be samples! 😊
