Shelley Simonton believed in the power of women supporting women. Through Shelley’s Fund, her legacy continues by creating opportunities for women to achieve economic self-sufficiency and providing scholarships for women to participate in the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt.
Honoring Shelley’s Legacy
Shelley was a passionate advocate, statewide leader, and champion for women in Wyoming. As a longtime Wyoming Women’s Foundation Advisory Board member and co-chair of the first Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt, she helped shape the event into the mentorship-focused experience it is today.
Before her passing in 2017, Shelley established Shelley’s Fund to continue investing in the causes she cared about most: supporting women’s economic opportunity and bringing women together through the hunt.
Creating Opportunities for Women
Each year, Shelley’s Fund provides a scholarship for a Wyoming woman to attend the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt. These scholarships help ensure women from diverse backgrounds, including single mothers, have the opportunity to participate, learn, and connect.
