Summary: AN ACT relating to the Wyoming's tomorrow scholarship program; modifying the transfer of funds from the Wyoming's tomorrow scholarship expenditure account to the Wyoming's tomorrow scholarship endowment fund; modifying the calculation of the average market value of the Wyoming's tomorrow scholarship endowment fund as specified; transferring funds as specified; and providing for an effective date.

Why It Matters: The Wyoming's tomorrow scholarship fund was created in the 2022 Budget Session. However, it was not adequately funded in previous legislation. This bill would allow for adequate funds to begin to disperse the scholarship. The scholarship would expand financial aid options to a demographic of Wyomingites seeking a Bachelor's degree that were not previously eligible for scholarships. We know that with more education, women's wages increase and their chances of reaching self-sufficiency are greater.
